A visit to Channel 4′s Sunday Brunch yesterday saw Little Mix‘s Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirwall and Perrie Edwards doing promo for their new single ‘How Ya Doin’, featuring rapper Missy Elliot. And as they went in, they switched up the arrangement, giving the feel-good tune a unique twist.

Mariah Carey has officially been confirmed to kick off ‘Good Morning America: Summer Concert Series’ on May 24th.
This announcement pretty much confirms that we will hear MC’s new single next month. She is stated to have shot the music video already, which reportedly features Miguel. The concert series is one week ahead of the American Idol finale on May 16th, so might she perform the track there too? Check out the full performer list below.
UK girl group Little Mix drop the colourful visuals for their latest single ‘How Ya Doin’ featuring the legendary Missy Elliott. The playful clip serves as a tribute to the early 90s thanks to the De La Soul sample. With great energy, great chemistry and great vibrant looks, the girls lace us with a very solid clip. And as they’re always experimenting with their hair, the colouring product placement was actually relevant. I liked how the video represented their individual styles, but if I could change anything, it would be more choreography. The club scene was my favourite and Missy looks great!
A brand new re-worked version of Little Mix‘s fourth new single ‘How Ya Doin’?’ premiered on Capital FM earlier this morning. The cut, co-written by the girls themselves, and produced by Future Cut, now features a new verse from the legendary Missy Elliott! Take a listen to the track below, which samples De La Soul’s ‘Ring Ring Ring’ and will feature on the Stateside edition of their debut album.
The reworked version of the retro number will feature a surprise guest rap from the Stateside rapper. “We honestly can’t believe Missy is on our song!” they gush in an official statement. “She’s been one of our biggest idols forever – it’s incredible. As soon as we thought there might be a chance she’d appear on the track we did literally everything we could to make sure it happened”. The collaboration (which samples De La Soul’s ‘Ring Ring Ring’) is clearly part of their set-up to crack America.
Their male X Factor counterparts One Direction have been the rage last year and X Factor runner-up Cher Lloyd also enjoyed making waves. Little Mix are not the only girl band from the UK trying to crack the States. The Saturdays have been performing all over America having appeared on Wendy Williams and Jimmy Fallon. They also have a reality show airing in the States as well. But I don’t think there’s room for two UK girl groups to dominate the States.
British girl group Little Mix visited ‘The Graham Norton Show’ for an interview and performance segment. The girls sang ‘Change Your Life’, the latest single from their debut album ‘DNA’. They made eclectic statements with their outfits, shunning any form of fashion coordination, while giving viewers at home some cute vocals.
They also sat down with show host Graham Norton for a short interview about the album, single, tour and their boss Simon Cowell. The show was recorded on Thursday and broadcast last night on BBC1. Missed it? Check out the action below!
X Factor successors Little Mix debut the music video for their uplifting new single ‘Change Your Life’. The video was clearly on a budget and shows mainly backstage footage of tour rehearsals. The girls kicked off their 20+ date tour last week. The visual (though a bit boring) definitely had its cute moments, showing off their personalities. Of course it’s nothing groundbreaking but it does the job.
The track serves as the official third single from their debut album ‘DNA’, which to date has sold 249,900 copies since its release two months ago. They are 50k shy of receiving a UK platinum certification. Perhaps this song can help them achieve it.
X Factor champs Little Mix looked cute as they delivered a rather bland performance of their new single ‘Change Your Life’ on ‘Dancing on Ice: The Skate Off’ last night (January 20th). As they sang the track, far more interesting skating professionals surrounded them with a suave routine on the ice. Jesy’s soulful vibrato certainly came through, but their showing lacked that bit of oomph.
Neither of the girls were actually in the studio as they pre-recorded their performance the night before (Saturday). This was also their first televised performance of the track following tour rehearsals and future promo preparation.
Some of the biggest names in UK pop took to the stage to perform at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 Arena on Saturday night. Check out performances from Cheryl Cole, Little Mix and JLS!
