Those who attended the European trek of Beyonce‘s tour will know Luke James has vocal chops for days. And those were on full display when he recently performed an acoustic set on BBC 1Xtra for CJ‘s SoundCheck.

During a chat with Urban Fusions TV, Luke James confirms his debut album ‘Made to Love’ will drop in stores on July 16th, 2013.
The day before the interview, he suffered a minor injury in which a light had fallen on his neck, hence the brace. After a long wait, fans can finally get their hands on the project.

It has been announced today that R&B newcomer Luke James will serve as the opening act for the European leg of Beyoncé‘s ‘Mrs. Carter Show’ world tour. In a press statement, she adds: “Luke James is a gifted singer and songwriter and what he does on stage with his pure falsetto is incredible. I am excited to have him join the tour and to introduce this soulful singer to an audience in Europe that will be discovering a true star”.
The crooner also opened for Beyoncé’s Revel Beach residency last year, but as he is unknown to Europe, this will serve as a real introduction. Luke is such a tremendous talent and hearing those power vocals on a live platform will be absolutely amazing. You can see for yourself by checking out his recent performance on The Wendy Williams Show below.

New Orleans crooner Luke James drops the visuals for his new single ‘IOU’. It’s a romantic clip showing two people doing the things a couple in love normally do together – bike riding, sight seeing, holding hands and making out. Then the ending takes an unexpected turn and everything isn’t all that it seems. Was their ‘perfect’ relationship based on a lie? Guess we won’t know until the video ‘continues’.
The honest truth is that Luke is hot stuff and because of him, R&B might still have a pulse. Later this year, he is slated to drop his debut album ‘Made To Love’ courtesy of N.A.R.S./Def Jam. Look out for that.
Take a listen to ‘I.O.U’, the spanking new single from break-out R&B crooner Luke James. The lovelorn midtempo serves as quite the Valentines catch and consists of Luke’s velvety vocals over subtle piano riffs and a drum stomping beat. It will also appear on his debut album ‘Made To Love’ (due later this year). Luke has bagged himself a Grammy nod – ‘Best R&B Performance’ for his breakthrough hit ‘I Want You’. He faces stiff competition from the likes of Usher (‘Climax’) and Miguel (‘Adorn’), so his chances are a bit stiff at the moment but to be nominated alone is still amazing. He should be very proud of himself.
Super talented newcomer Luke James has been making waves this week after releasing his highly anticipated EP ‘Whispers in the Dark’. He also drops a music video for his lush new single ‘Make Love to Me’ as well.
