Check out some new pictures of Beyonce tributing one of her biggest idols with his signature crotch grab and fedora hat. The one and only Michael Jackson, of course. Beyonce’s personality has really stood out ever since she’s made herself more active on social media platforms such as Tumblr and Instagram. She just needs to tweet more often and she’s game!

Spike Lee‘s ‘BAD25′ special aired yesterday on ABC. The documentary looks at Michael Jackson and the legacy of his record ‘Bad.’ Long live the King of Pop!
Michael Jackson released his seventh studio album ‘Bad’ in 1987, making that 25 years ago. In preparation for the album’s 25th anniversary re-release, an exclusive DVD preview has been issued from the deluxe edition of his ‘Bad 25′ DVD set. Fans get to watch the late King of Pop on his 1988 ‘Bad’ tour at Wembley Stadium. He performs a remarkable live rendition of ‘Human Nature’, an old time classic from his iconic ‘Thriller’ album. ‘Bad 25′ officially goes on sale September 18th.
The King of Pop would have celebrated his 54th birthday, yesterday. However, the celebration went on and to commemorate Michael Jackson‘s legacy and astonishing contributions to music, R&B stars such as Ne-Yo and Melanie Fiona paid tribute. The show, which was in collaboration with Pepsi and Billboard, saw both stars take to the stage to perform songs from their own back catalogue, as well as some of MJ’s classics. The Summer Beats concert took place at Gotham Hall on August 29th in New York City.
Melanie opted to perform ‘Dirty Diana’ and ‘Bad’, while Ne-Yo opted to perform ‘I Just Can’t Stop Loving You’, ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’ and ‘Smooth Criminal’. If you’ve ever followed Ne-Yo closely, you will know he has always been an MJ imitator right down to the very last detail, so all this was second nature to him. Melanie on the other hand, actually surprised me.
Pitbull on a Michael Jackson classic? Okay?! For unfortunate reasons, MJ no longer has control over his music or who will appear on them or how the song will be rearranged. A snippet of the Afrojack remix of ‘Bad’ featuring the dance-pop rapper, has just been released, giving the track a more contemporary feel.
The cut is lifted from the king of pop’s ‘Bad 25′ compilation which hits stores on September 18th. The beefy tracklisting was released this week, so, if you’ve missed that, be sure to check it out here.
Epic/Legacy Recordings has partnered with the Estate of Michael Jackson to announce the official tracklisting for the release of ‘Michael Jackson BAD25′. The collection consists of a deluxe package that comes with three CDs of previously re-mastered versions of the king’s iconic hits and unreleased recordings. It will also come with two collector’s booklets, and the first ever authorized DVD release of his record breaking ‘BAD’ world tour – the July 16th, 1988 sold out Wembley Stadium show in London. I’ve got to have this, ESPECIALLY for that concert! The anticipated set drops in stores on September 17th.
The Jackson family put aside their much publicised dispute to perform at their ‘Unity Tour’ in California over the weekend. Katherine Jackson was greeted with applause when she turned up with Michael‘s children Prince, Paris and Blanket. All is good and dandy when there is money to be made (their hungry asses certainly won’t be getting any from the Michael Jackson Estate, period). Expect more feuding tweets in 5, 4, 3, 2…
Michael Jackson‘s previously unreleased demo for ‘Dont Be Messin’ Round’ premiered this weekend. In the past, only a snippet was released. The track was considered as a B-Side to his 1987 classic ‘I Just Can’t Stop Loving You’, and surfaces to mark the celebration of Sony’s 25th Anniversary release, ‘Bad 25′ by Michael Jackson. The track, written and produced by MJ, sees the man himself having a solo piano performance on it, and making it that extra bit more special!
