The R&B crooner is very apologetic to his woman because he was not the man to her that he should have been. Tormented by his wrongs, he is seen travelling around the world regretting what became of that relationship. “It’s basically a song about having the one person that’ll do whatever for you, the one person that’ll go to the end of the world and back, and you not realizing it until it’s damn near too late,” he told Billboard. “It’s essentially about having someone’s heart in your hands and dropping it.”

Artists like Christina Aguilera pull the plug on an entire album just because a lead single under-performs or because sales for an album remain ridiculously low. Of course the numbers will remain the same if you don’t plug the freaking record! I’m thinking, you selfish cow! If you don’t want to do this for yourself, at least do it for your fans. At the time of writing, Trey has sold 349,843 copies of ‘Chapter V’ in the States. Play his cards right and he could do Gold.
R&B crooner Trey Songz recently took to the stage at UNCF’s 33rd annual ‘An Evening of Stars’ where he sang latest single ‘Fumble’. The track is lifted from his latest album ‘Chapter V’, which to date has sold a pitiful 326,760 copies in the US since its release on August 21st, 2012.
Trey’s performance was actually very classy and he looked real dapper in a suit. That’s something you don’t see much of especially when he’s singing about sex! The vocals were nice and thankfully he kept it light with the vibrato. None of those Scooby Doo riffs. Yay.
R&B ladiesman Trey Songz visited the Wendy Williams show and almost gave one of his female fans a ‘heart attack’ when he ran into the audience to give her a hug!
The BBC Radio 1Xtra Live concert in London included performances from today’s rising young acts. Trey Songz, Rita Ora and Misha B take center stage.
A Trey Songz performance wouldn’t be a Trey Songz performance without mediocre vocals and ripped off T-shirts. That’s what fans were treated to when they watched his headlining set at the Monster Jam concert over the weekend. The R&B crooner performed cuts from his latest album ‘Chapter V’, as well as older songs from his back catalogue.
A month ago, Trey Songz teased his ‘Dive In’ visual. However, fans were actually wondering why it took so long for it to surface. Well, wonder no more. The Justin Francis-directed music video is now out.
At a time where Trey Songz has finally cracked the UK, it only seems fitting for him to announce a tour of Great Britain. The tour, in support of his latest album ‘Chapter V’ kicks off on January 27th 2013 at the LG Arena in Birmingham and it will conclude in Glasgow on February 5th 2013. Tickets for his ‘Chapter V Tour’ will go on sale on September 28th courtesy of Live Nation. Check out the dates below.
Trey Songz scores his first ever #1 album on the Billboard 200 with ‘Chapter V’. The project sold little over 135k copies. A respectable feat for the 27-year-old, although its predecessor, ‘Passion, Pain & Pleasure’ sold much more with 240k copies in its first week. In fact, this is the first time an album of Trey’s has not increased from the one before.
‘I Gotta Make It’, released in 2005, peaked at #20, followed by 2007′s ‘Trey Day’, which peaked at #11. ‘Ready’ peaked at #3 in 2009, and ‘Passion, Pleasure, & Pain’ peaked at #2 spot in 2010. Sales for R&B singers has been down this year so this would serve as a sign of the times but at least Trey can now say he has a #1 album under his belt having come close a few times before. Congrats.
