December has arrived, cold weather is well upon us, festive advertisements have begun and yuletide carols are being broadcasted on the radio & television. Its official that Christmas time is here once again and to get you guys in the celebratory mood, I’m presenting you with some of my personal favourite holiday tunes.

‘Silent Night’ is among the most famous Christmastime hymns that elegantly details the virgin birth of baby Jesus. ‘Silent Night’ is a delicate song meant to express a calming comfort in the reason for the season, and is usually backed with a gospel choir for it’s climactic ending.
Each Pop Diva to take a stab at this holiday classic has put an unique spin on the carol to make it their own. Whether it be Mariah‘s classic gospel rendition of the song with the Baptist choir; Beyonce‘s aggressive version, or Britney’s imperfectly earnest attempt, each serves as a memorably sung performance of the Yuletide staple.
